Nervous and scared collie Lochy turned a corner with the right support, patience and encouragement.
We rescued Lochy in 2019; he was a very nervous, scared and reactive boy in any situation, especially around dogs and humans. We were looking for help in a safe, controlled environment in which to work with Lochy and following a recommendation; we found Laura’s website.
Lochy had an assessment with Laura, which indicated he wasn’t actually aggressive but extremely scared/nervous about any situation he was in.
We joined Laura’s classes, at first further away from the other dogs until, with lots of treats, praise and guidance from Laura, he was integrated into the class group.
He has come on leaps and bounds due to Laura’s encouragement and training methods. He loves going to his class on Saturday, which we continue to take him to as it provides rich stimulation and ensures he uses his brain, which is good for an active border collie! He can now play off lead in a park and loves humans and interaction, especially with Laura.
Without Laura’s guidance, we would still be struggling with him. Thank you, Laura, for your patience, encouragement and advice.
