Puppy Teddy developed lead reactivity so bad that owner Jay was increasingly at her wit’s end.
Our beautiful little puppy developed lead reactivity, which became extremely anxiety-provoking and very distressing for me. Walks became a nightmare. On a scale of 1 to 10, he was 10+. I could barely hold my little dog back as he lunged at other dogs and continuously barked at a volume that topped even large dog breeds. It was a shocking experience for all. It became such a problem. It got worse no matter what I did or what advice I followed. I couldn’t find anyone who could help until I met Laura.
Amazingly she was on to the issues immediately; her knowledge and skill are second to none. Teddy changed so much under her care and training; I’ve also changed much. My anxiety has settled, and I’m more confident handling our gorgeous dog. With a tailored plan in place, we are virtually there. Teddy is happy, energetic and well-socialised. His lead walking is much better. He still doesn’t like dogs that stare at him, but from a previous volume of 10 +, his reactivity with those dogs is now about 1.
Our training is ongoing, and Teddy’s tricks are awesome. We have so much fun together now.
